Visual artist born and educated in Panama City, Panama.
Currently a Creative Director for Young & Rubicam Panama.

Statement:
My approach to art is similar to sample-made music. I create new forms based on pre-existing stuff. I sample from real life: pain and beauty, joy and color. By taking hold of diverse visual & audio input from magazines, newspapers, textiles, advertising, fashion, signs, the web, etc., I rewrite new sentences and try to make bold statements about our society and the way we live in it. I seek a fresh visual language that is ironical and edgy but very close to home.

Most of the input I feed upon is the same information that alienates us from humanity: over-sexed marketing campaigns, political agendas, real-estate billboards... visual pollution... I try to take it all in... to then set it free.
